A time comes in your life when you finally get…when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out…ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying and blaming and struggling to hold on. Then, like a child quieting down after a tantrum, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through new eyes.

This is your awakening.

You realize it’s time to stop hoping and waiting for something to change, or for happiness, safety and security to magically appear over the next horizon.

The Key To Life 11 comments

Happy Notes with Cunning Plans

When I was five years old, my mother told me that happiness was the key to life.

When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be.

I wrote down “Happy”.

They told me I didn’t understand the assignment.

I told them they didn’t understand life.

1. Lack of motivation. A talent is irrelevant if a person is not motivated to use it. Motivation may be external (for example, social approval) or internal (satisfaction from a job well-done, for instance). External sources tend to be transient, while internal sources tend to produce more consistent performance.

2. Lack of impulse control. Habitual impulsiveness gets in the way of optimal performance. Some people do not bring their full intellectual resources to bear on a problem but go with the first solution that pops into their heads.

The Mayonnaise Jar and Two Cups of Coffee 22 comments

Mayonnaise JarWhen things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the two cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class with some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked his students if the jar was full…they all agreed that it was full.

25 Things You Don’t Know About Me…And May Not Want To 20 comments

1215383_window_The Gazzman, Gary Simpson, a fellow student of Alex Jeffreys tagged me to post 25 things about myself. Here they are…like it or not:

Rod Macbeth

1) Was Born in 1955 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

2) Has lived here all of my life save for ten years spent in Richmond, BC when the job market took a nose dive.

3) is a Gemini.

4) Has spent 34 years as an electrician. Due to a repetitive rotator cuff injury, arthritis and a small tendon tear in my right shoulder I’m no longer really able to work in my trade any longer. This is largely behind my decision to pursue Internet Marketing full time. Although, after 34 years, I’m ready for a change.

Populating a Autoresponder Content Series 21 comments

1209587_cloistersI thought I’d have a look at Autoresponders again but, this time, with a view to the content one uses. The ideal way to make use of your autoresponder is to preload it with a series of content that’s sent to your list at predetermined times. That could be every three days, once a week, etc. Whatever you feel is best. Personally, I don’t believe in bombarding my list with stuff and the most I’d consider doing  a posting is once a week. Anything more then that, in my opinion, is getting spammy.

JV Auction Profits Using eBay 2 comments

JVAuction3Everyone knows that John Thornhill is an eBay expert. Some may even call him a GURU, something he doesn’t subscribe to. Which ever way you may want to  look at it John is someone to watch and learn from when it comes to ‘making moves’ on eBay. When John has an idea and it goes public you can definitely expect people to follow. When the digital delivery ban came into effect all eyes were on John for his next move. For the guys who know him and follow his techniques, we all know his advice and tips and second to none and are truly invaluable.

This is Exciting! 13 comments

1191838_shadowI just received the sales copy for my first product and am now ready to get it to market. The copy is excellent and done in such a way that it even put together how I’m going to do the affiliate part of it…something I was still trying to figure out how to approach. Nice bonus that was.

There’s no false hopes here, I don’t expect great things to happen but it’s a start. I’ve now gone through the process and surpassed the hurdles. Well, almost. Still not 100% yet but what’s left is stuff I’ve done hundreds of times before. Now that I’ve gone through the process once the second time around should be much easier.

Some Inspiration from Maria Andros 7 comments

I watched this video from Maria Andros on Paul Hooper’s blog and I had to share it with you. It’s just too good not to.
