A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.
One day a small opening appeared.
He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours
as it struggled to squeeze its body through the tiny hole.
Then it stopped, as if it couldn’t go further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly.
He took a pair of scissors and
snipped off the remaining bits of cocoon.
The butterfly emerged easily but
it had a swollen body and shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch it,
expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge
and expand enough to support the body,
Neither happened!
In fact the butterfly spent the rest of its life
crawling around.
It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness
and haste did not understand:
The restricting cocoon and the struggle
required by the butterfly to get through the opening
was a way of forcing the fluid from the body
into the wings so that it would be ready
for flight once that was achieved.
Sometimes struggles are exactly
what we need in our lives.
Going through life with no obstacles would cripple us.
We will not be as strong as we could have been
and we would never fly.
So have a nice day and struggle a little and teach well.

Through my struggle with cancer treatment came my first ebook.
For the longest time I couldn’t decide what to write about when I first got into internet marketing. I was new and didn’t feel like I had any skills to offer other people wanting to learn about list building, etc. It took getting sick and going through a brutal round of radiation and chemo to inspire me to write an ebook.
I’ve found my passion again and a skill I can offer other people . . . keyword research. But it was the illness that gave me perspective.
Thank you for a lovely post. I’ll visit again.
All the best,
Theresa

What a beautiful post.
As someone who has and is struggling with self doubt and time management, I can only say that I am glad to be in this position. For here I can relate to those that are struggling more than me and offer my experience and hand to help them through to their goal
Great post! I can also relate to some of those struggling too. Life has it ups and downs.. I think its important for us to learn from our mistake and keep getting up no matter how hard you fall. Thanks for sharing.
